Maltese
are great little companion pets! They are loyal and loving. They love to play,
learning tricks quite easily as they love to please their owner(s)!
They are non-shedding and
hypo-allergenic being one of the main dogs recommended by many Veterinarians.
Maltese average in the five to
eight lb range full grown.
Sissy and Buddy
have three beautiful babies born the first part of March.
I have one little girl still available.
Spice has her new
home waiting for her in Florida!

Spice
will have her limited (pet only) AKC registration along with her vaccine
record, and their
health guarantee
when going to her new home.

Unless
otherwise agreed on, my Maltese will be sold as Pets only with AKC limited
registration. They will all be micro chipped, have all shots current to their
age, and be vet checked. They will be VERY well socialized as we do our best to
make sure they are as healthy as I can possibly have my puppies and make sure
they LOVE being with people and that they are used to all types of surfaces:
grass, gravel, pavement, carpet, hardwood flooring, linoleum, and tile.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

Shipping
Shipping
by Air is done with Pet Air. They are a company that specializes in just
shipping pets. The shipping cost is paid to me and I pay Pet Air and purchase
the items needed for shipping the puppy.
Pet Air does my shipping on Thursdays unless weather or a holiday causes them to
change to another day.
The reason that I use Pet Air rather then making my own shipping arrangements is
that I have found that a company like Pet Air (they are an "animal travel
agency, not an airline) as compared to an individual can
better get the airlines to do the best for the puppy. Sorry to say, many
airlines are not always courteous or helpful to an individual, but they will help a
company who has the option of pulling much more business from them should they
decide that the airline is not helpful with the shipping of pets. If there
are plane cancellations, delays, or changes that need to be made, Pet Air has
the resources to make these changes quicker and easier then an individual might
have.
Shipping to is $275.00 to most major airports
in the continental United States.
Shipping to Canada and Puerto Rico is $400, and shipping to Alaska is $400 to
Anchorage and $600 to Fairbanks. The shipping cost
includes the airfare, Pet Air's fare, the special crate needed - which is a very
good quality crate that will last many years with proper care, and other misc. cost associated with shipping
the puppy.
The timing for when I let the puppy go by shipping will be based on the age,
breed, and size of the puppy. Weather plays a big part in the air shipping of a
puppy. There may be times in mid summer or mid winter when the shipping is
changed or delayed due to bad or extreme weather. Pet Air does what ever
needs to be done to best assure the safety of the puppy. Pet Air only
ships for me on Thursdays unless it is a holiday or weather impedes the
shipping.
I will try to accommodate you the best I can with the shipping, but the overall
decision when to ship the puppy will be my decision based
on the health, safety, and best interest of the puppy.
Due to the high cost and amount of
time it takes to ship overseas and Hawaii, I don't do any shipping other then
the Continental United States, Canada, and Alaska. Hawaii also has some very
harsh quarantine laws for new pets coming in, so I do not ship to Hawaii.

Crate Training:
Crate training can be great
for teaching your puppy to sleep in a crate at night or to use for very small
periods of time during the day. But PLEASE do not put your puppy in a crate all
day while you are at work, only to let him out for a few house in the afternoon
and evening, then put him or her back in the crate for all night. Even if
you are able to take your dog out of the crate once or twice a day during the
day, this is not the proper place for your puppy or dog to spend the
majority of their daytime hours. We would not like to be locked in a room with
just enough room to move around in and sleep in for the majority of each 24 hour period.
Our puppies and dogs don't like that much either. Knowing how much puppies and
dogs like to play and need room to play, I feel that this can be very cruel to a
puppy or dog. I will not knowingly sell a puppy to someone who plans on using a
crate both day and night for their young puppy or older dog.

I suggest using a baby gate and
gating off an area such as a large bathroom or a utility room in order to give
the puppy limited space while allowing the puppy to have room to play, toys to
play with an open crate with bedding for sleeping (the front gate off the crate)
and puppy pads, a doggie litter box, or my preference, newspapers, in case the
puppy HAS TO GO before someone lets him or her outside. Some puppies (just like
children) take time to learn to "hold" it until "mom or dad" comes to take them
out. There are also very nice puppy playpens for dogs that also give more
room for play while keeping them in a relatively small small area. The two
ex-pens pictured here can be purchased at:
