What
girl doesn't dream of horses and the romance that surrounds them. 2 years
ago (much past my girlhood years) My dream finally came true with the purchase
of my first horses. I've always thought paints were so beautiful, so
Ribbons was a real dream come true when I bought her as a 2 year old. We
have learned a lot together this past 2 years and we seem to have a mutual
affection that I haven't found with another horse.
Ribbons is a Fox trotter / Paint - "Spotted Saddle Horse"
Ribbons now has a new home. Though it was hard to see
her go, she has a home were I believe she will become the best possible horse
she can be.
I decided I would continue with my dream of horses and buy some mares that I could enjoy riding while at the same time breed, to begin my business "Terry's Two by Two".
My
next horse was probably the smartest buy I have made. Penny is an older Reg. Quarter horse mare that was already breed. She had a beautiful Palomino
colt our first spring together. (see Quarter horse page) She foaled again this
past May. (see Quarter Horse page for pictures).
I
have since bought and sold several horses as I am continuing to find just the
right ones for me to both breed and enjoy. I have learned, and am still learning much about horses.
Some I have learned the hard way, both in handling horses, and in working with
horse "traders". But my good experiences with my horses, and the
help of some really fine people who work with horses & have taught me much
that keeps me working at making my dreams come true.
