Health Guarantee The purchase of ANY puppy is subject to the following terms and conditions. There are several parts to this guarantee. Please read the full Health guarantee and make sure you understand and agree with it completely. If you have any questions, please contact me before signing the Health guarantee. All puppies sold by Terry’s Two by Two will come with current shots, de-worming, and have had coccidia and Giardia preventatives. By signing this Health guarantee you agree to the following. No puppy will be replaced that fails to have the proper veterinary care starting with the first vet check that has to take place within 72 hours of receiving your puppy. The puppy must be kept up to date on all shots, wormer, flea / tick medicine, and heart worm preventive as suggested by your veterinarian. The buyer is responsible for all medical cost for the puppy once the puppy is with the buyer. For this warranty to be honored: All puppies must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy unless a different timing is agreed upon by the seller (me). If the puppy is received on a holiday or on the weekend, then the puppy must be taken to a licensed veterinarian on the following business day for examination. If your regular veterinarian is not available, you are required to take the puppy to another veterinarian unless an agreement is made between the buyer and Terry’s Two By Two. A copy of the exam must be mailed, faxed or sent as an e-mail attachment to me within 1 week of the arrival date of the puppy for the Health guarantee to be valid. You are responsible to make sure I received the copy of the exam. The health guarantee starts as soon as you have received your puppy. 14 DAY GUARANTEE
If within 14 days, the puppy dies from Distemper, Parvo, or any
other disease (Kennel cough is not included in this coverage) that should have been covered by the puppy vaccines given as
directed by my veterinarian, you would receive another puppy of your choosing or
a full refund.
An autopsy report would need to be filled out from the licensed veterinarian
detailing the cause of death to receive a different puppy or a refund for the
puppy. As of this time, I have never had this happen.
1 YEAR GUARANTEE AGAINST CONGENITAL DEFECTS If within the first year puppy develops a condition that dates back to the fetal stage – being a congenital condition and this condition severely impacts the quality of life of the puppy or you would need to have the puppy put to sleep; you will receive a replacement puppy. Normally any congenital condition will show up before the puppy is 1 year old. In 10 years of breeding, I’ve only had this happen once. The veterinarian that found the defect assured me it was not hereditary and that once in a while you will just have a “quirk” of nature that causes a serious problem that is no one’s fault. If this does happen, and the puppy has to be euthanized, I will need to be notified before this is done. Unless x-rays or specialized test have been taken to prove the congenital problem, an autopsy will be required to be done on the puppy to prove the congenital problem. The buyer may do this at their veterinarian’s office or the buyer may send the puppy to my veterinarian to have this done. The buyer is be responsible for all vet cost charged by his or her own veterinarian or for the shipping of the original puppy to my vet for the autopsy. If sent to my veterinarian, I will pay for the autopsy. There are certain disorders and issues that can arise that may be caused by improper diet, environmental factors, and Stress. Since these factors cannot be controlled by me, the breeder, the buyer is responsible for all cost that arise due to these circumstances. All medical or any financial issues incurred by the puppy in this contract are the sole responsibility of the new owner from the date the puppy arrives at his or her new home. There are no acceptations to this for any reason. Terry’s two by Two is not responsible for any vet or medical bills or financial bills that are incurred by the puppy from the date the puppy arrives at his or her new home. This warranty is VOID if puppy is bred unless special permission is given in this health guarantee for the allowance of breeding the puppy. Otherwise, I require that all babies be spayed or neutered by the time they are 7 months old for this contract to be valid. I will need a copy of the spay or neuter report. This contract is for the person purchasing the puppy. It is null and VOID if transferred to another person. In the event that a puppy would need to be replaced, it would be subject to the availability of another litter from the same breeder. It could take up to one full year from the date I am notified through a letter from a licensed vet explaining the medical problems and defining them as a direct genetic link to the breeders breeding program to replace the puppy. You will receive a replacement puppy of equal or greater value from the litter of your choosing. The only stipulation is that the replacement puppy must be the same gender and the same breed (or hybrid) unless otherwise agreed upon by the buyer and Terry’s Two By Two. If the same sex of puppy is not available then if agreeable to both parties, the breeder may replace said puppy with the opposite sex puppy of equal or greater value, however if not agreeable to both parties, then buyer must wait for the first available same gender puppy to be born for their replacement. Some things that might be estimated, but can NOT be guaranteed are: the final adult size, final coloring, or temperament. I will only send a puppy the puppy is completely healthy and has no behavioral problems while in my possession. The puppy will be vet checked by my vet within 10 days of leaving for his or her new home. If a puppy is allowed to be bred, this also cannot be guaranteed – that the puppy will ever breed or carry puppies. I can also tell you what the puppy's temperament is and how he or she gets along with other puppies and dogs here, but I can not guarantee future temperament as much of that has to do with the new puppy's home, and I can not guarantee that the puppy will get along with your current pets or that your current pet will get along with the puppy. It is a very rare case (it's only happened once in my 9 years of raising puppies) that a puppy will not get along with the current pet, but this is something I can not guarantee and there will not be a refund if this happens. This contract supersedes any and all previous agreements. If a puppy has health issues while still in my care (as the breeder) that would cause me to feel that I cannot place this puppy in a home, then a full refund will be provided or the buyer has the option of choosing another puppy if available or putting their deposit or money already paid toward a future litter. For the smaller of the Small breed puppies: The buyer understands that the puppy being purchased is an extremely small. Because of this the buyer understands additional care will needed to insure the heath and well being of the puppy. Without the proper care this breed can suffer from Hypoglycemia, dehydration, etc which can lead to the puppy’s death. This is the responsibility of the buyer. Also the small breed puppy can more easily be injured from falls or from even jumping off a couch, bed, etc. Injuries caused by a non congenital condition is the buyer’s responsibility. The smaller small breed puppy needs to be feed more often and should not be left for long periods of time. Stress on a young small breed puppy can lead to hypoglycemia and death in a very short time. You will receive a “puppy instruction sheet” on what to do for your small puppy and what to watch for to make sure your puppy does fine.
