A
Morkie / Yorktese is a combination of a pure bred Yorkshire Terrier and a purebred Maltese. These two dogs are
very similar in size, hair, grooming requirements, etc. A Morkie / Yorktese can have
a lot of different looks as you can see here and on my
"reference page". Putting the two
purebred dogs together makes not only a very precious, loving, little pet, but
also makes for less health problems than is associated with the pure bred dog.
Check below to see the story on
Oliver, this very intelligent little Morkie pictured to the left, as well as
pictures of other Morkies and their precious families.

I should have Morkies again this summer, ready to
go late summer or early fall.
These three very beautiful
babies born on Thanksgiving, November 24th,
have their new homes waiting for them.

Mom is a beautiful little 7 lb Maltese and dad is a sweet 4 lb Yorkshire Terrier

LOOK WHO'S 2 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVER!
Here is a recent letter from a
new puppy family:
Hi Terry,
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and are
looking forward to a great 2011! We had a lot of family here with us, so
our holidays were very busy and happy. Augie met a lot of new family and
friends...I
thought we were going to have to start doing coat and purse checks as a few
people threatened to sneak him out the door. :)
Attached are some pictures I took of Augie this evening. Bud
took him in for his second booster shots and second puppy grooming today.
Augie is very healthy and weighed in at 3 pounds. The vet assistant,
groomer, and other vet
employees were all asking where we got our puppy. I wanted to pass along
their compliments to you. They said that Augie is the best bred designer
dog of his type they have
ever
seen/met. They love his markings and said that his coat is just beautiful
and so healthy. They told Bud that Augie's disposition (or as we say, "doggieality")
is so sweet and he is very easy to work with. They attributed all of these
great qualities to his breeding, so take a bow, Terry!
We are so happy to have Augie in our family. He's such a big
part of our lives. He goes everywhere with us and is the life of the party
when people visit our home. I'm so glad I found you through
www.terrystwobytwo.com .
I hope some of the recommendations we have given people bring
some business your way. You're a great breeder! Thanks for bringing Augie
into the world!

Puppies to be Loving Pets!
When asking about a puppy, please let me know some
about yourself and your family. Corresponding with you and understanding how the
puppy will fit into your home is very important to me. There may be times when I
might make a recommendation for a different puppy if one is too calm or too
hyper for your family. The nickname we have given to the puppy can be changed to
the name you decide is best for your puppy. I want the puppies to go to
loving homes where they will be well taken care of and in return, will be a
great joy to their new families!
Thanks, Terry
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

Shipping:
Pet Air:
www.flypets.com
Shipping
by Air is done with Pet Air. They are a company that specializes in just
shipping pets. The shipping cost is paid to me and I pay Pet Air and purchase
the items needed for shipping the puppy.
Pet Air does my shipping on Thursdays unless weather or a holiday causes them to
change to another day.
The reason I use Pet Air rather then making my own shipping arrangements is
that I have found that a company like Pet Air (they are an "animal travel
agency, not an airline) as compared to an individual can
better get the airlines to do the best for the puppy. Sorry to say, many
airlines are not always courteous or helpful to an individual, but they will help a
company who has the option of pulling much more business from them should they
decide that the airline is not helpful with the shipping of pets. If there
are plane cancellations, delays, or changes that need to be made, Pet Air has
the resources to make these changes quicker and easier then an individual might
have.
Shipping to is $275.00 to most major airports
in the continental United States.
Shipping to Canada and Puerto Rico is $400, and shipping to Alaska is $400 to
Anchorage and $600 to Fairbanks. The shipping cost
includes the airfare, Pet Air's fare, the special crate needed - which is a very
good quality crate that will last many years with proper care, and other misc. cost associated with shipping
the puppy.
The timing for when I let the puppy go by shipping will be based on the age,
breed, and size of the puppy. Weather plays a big part in the air shipping of a
puppy. There may be times in mid summer or mid winter when the shipping is
changed or delayed due to bad or extreme weather. Pet Air does what ever
needs to be done to best assure the safety of the puppy. Pet Air only
ships for me on Thursdays unless it is a holiday or weather impedes the
shipping.
I will try to accommodate you the best I can with the shipping, but the overall
decision when to ship the puppy will be my decision based
on the health, safety, and best interest of the puppy.
Due to the high cost and amount of
time it takes to ship overseas and Hawaii, I don't do any shipping other then
the Continental United States, Canada, and Alaska. Hawaii also has some very
harsh quarantine laws for new pets coming in, so I do not ship to Hawaii.

Crate Training:
Crate training can be great
for teaching your puppy to sleep in a crate at night or to use for very small
periods of time during the day. But PLEASE do not put your puppy in a crate all
day while you are at work, only to let him out for a few house in the afternoon
and evening, then put him or her back in the crate for all night. Even if
you are able to take your dog out of the crate once or twice a day during the
day, this is not the proper place for your puppy or dog to spend the
majority of their daytime hours. We would not like to be locked in a room with
just enough room to move around in and sleep in for the majority of each 24 hour period.
Our puppies and dogs don't like that much either. Knowing how much puppies and
dogs like to play and need room to play, I feel that this can be very cruel to a
puppy or dog. I will not knowingly sell a puppy to someone who plans on using a
crate both day and night for their young puppy or older dog.
Your puppy has already been started
on his or her potty training but learning to go outside to potty using a doggy
door. For those wanting to have an indoor area for the puppy to potty, I would
suggest the "puppy patch" as the way to house break your small breed dog to a
certain place either inside the house or outside in the yard. This is my
preference over puppy pads. You can go to the Puppy patch web site at:
https://www.officialtvwebsite.com/pottypatch/ver3/index.asp?did=445&refcode=bpp1a&phone=1-800-470-2914

I suggest using a baby gate and
gating off an area such as a large bathroom or a utility room in order to give
the puppy limited space while allowing the puppy to have room to play, toys to
play with an open crate with bedding for sleeping (the front gate off the crate)
and puppy pads, a doggie litter box, or my preference, newspapers, in case the
puppy HAS TO GO before someone lets him or her outside. Some puppies (just like
children) take time to learn to "hold" it until "mom or dad" comes to take them
out. There are also very nice puppy playpens for dogs that also give more
room for play while keeping them in a relatively small small area. The two
ex-pens pictured here can be purchased at:
