Puppies to be Loving Pets!

When asking about a puppy, please let me know some about yourself and your family. Corresponding with you and understanding how the puppy will fit into your home is very important to me. There may be times when I might make a recommendation for a different puppy if one is too calm or too hyper for your family. My puppies have limited registration, with the understanding that the puppy will be spayed or neutered. These puppies are not to primarily be show dogs, but loving pets, though your  new puppy can be shown at 4-H, AKC  good citizen, obedience, or agility shows which help the puppy and his or her new family develop a fun activity together.

Thanks, Terry

This is my last litter of Cavaliers!
Becky and Nemo will be retired to pet homes this summer.

Becky and Nemo have 4 precious little babies (2 boys and 2 girls) born on 05/16/10
One little girl is still available!

Ginger is a lovely, sweet and curious girl.
But she also have a very minor under bite. This will not cause her any health issues but I have lowered her price to $300 due to this.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

Please be sure to read my health guarantee before you purchase a puppy. I will gladly answer any questions you have concerning the health guarantee.

Deposits are non refundable, but can be movable if notice is given before the puppy being purchased reaches 8 weeks old that the deposit needs to be moved to a future litter. Otherwise only a portion of the deposit can be credited toward a different puppy.

My puppies are sold with the limited registration with a spay or neuter agreement unless special permission is given. I never give breeding rights with very small females who are 7 lbs or under, full grown.

If I have micro chipped your puppy, it is VERY important that you register your puppy with the Home Again Micro chip registry. I DO NOT REGISTER THEM IN MY NAME. If you do not register them, you will not have a way to report them lost or stolen to the microchip company. PLEASE REGISTER YOUR PUPPY'S MICRO CHIP at Home Again website: http://www.homeagain.com/

Shipping: Pet Air: www.flypets.com

Shipping by Air is done with Pet Air. They are a company that specializes in just shipping pets. The shipping cost is paid to me and I pay Pet Air and purchase the items needed for shipping the puppy. Pet Air does my shipping on Thursdays unless weather or a holiday causes them to change to another day.

The reason that I use Pet Air rather then making my own shipping arrangements is that I have found that a company like Pet Air (they are an "animal travel agency, not an airline) as compared to an individual can better get the airlines to do the best for the puppy. Sorry to say, many airlines are not always courteous or helpful to an individual, but they will help a company who has the option of pulling much more business from them should they decide that the airline is not helpful with the shipping of pets.  If there are plane cancellations, delays, or changes that need to be made, Pet Air has the resources to make these changes quicker and easier then an individual might have.

Shipping is $250 - $300 for the continental United States.
Shipping to Canada and Alaska is 375 - $474 which includes the airfare, Pet Air's fare, the special crate needed - which is a very good quality crate that will last many years with proper care, the cost of mailing the puppy kit (puppy food, paper work, etc) for the puppy, and other misc. cost associated with shipping the puppy.

The timing for when I let the puppy go by shipping will be based on the age, breed, and size of the puppy. Weather plays a big part in the air shipping of a puppy. There may be times in mid summer or mid winter when the shipping is changed or delayed due to bad or extreme weather.  Pet Air does what ever needs to be done to best assure the safety of the puppy.  Pet Air only ships for me on Thursdays unless it is a holiday or weather impedes the shipping.
I will try to accommodate you the best I can with the shipping, but the overall decision  when to ship the puppy will be my decision based on the health, safety, and best interest of the puppy.

Due to the high cost and amount of time it takes to ship overseas and Hawaii, I don't do any shipping other then the Continental United States, Canada, and Alaska. Hawaii also has some very harsh quarantine laws for new pets coming in, so I do not ship to Hawaii.

Crate Training:
Crate training can be great for teaching your puppy to sleep in a crate at night or to use for very small periods of time during the day. But PLEASE do not put your puppy in a crate all day while you are at work, only to let him out for a few house in the afternoon and evening, then put him or her back in the crate for all night.  Even if you are able to take your dog out of the crate once or twice a day during the day, this is not the proper place for your  puppy or dog to spend the majority of their daytime hours. We would not like to be locked in a room with just enough room to move around in and sleep in for the majority of each 24 hour period. Our puppies and dogs don't like that much either. Knowing how much puppies and dogs like to play and need room to play, I feel that this can be very cruel to a puppy or dog. I will not knowingly sell a puppy to someone who plans on using a crate both day and night for their young puppy or older dog.

Your puppy has already been started on his or her potty training but learning to go outside to potty using a doggy door. For those wanting to have an indoor area for the puppy to potty, I would suggest the "puppy patch" as the way to house break your small breed dog to a certain place either inside the house or outside in the yard. This is my preference over puppy pads. You can go to the Puppy patch web site at: https://www.officialtvwebsite.com/pottypatch/ver3/index.asp?did=445&refcode=bpp1a&phone=1-800-470-2914

I suggest using a baby gate and gating off an area such as a large bathroom or a utility room in order to give the puppy limited space while allowing the puppy to have room to play, toys to play with an open crate with bedding for sleeping (the front gate off the crate) and puppy pads, a doggie litter box, or my preference, newspapers, in case the puppy HAS TO GO before someone lets him or her outside. Some puppies (just like children) take time to learn to "hold" it until "mom or dad" comes to take them out.  There are also very nice puppy playpens for dogs that also give more room for play while keeping them in a relatively small small area.
