We have will have a litter of Maltese babies this fall!

VERY IMPORTANT!
Please be sure to read my health guarantee before you purchase a puppy.
I will gladly answer any questions you have concerning the health guarantee.
Deposits are non refundable, but can be movable.

All my puppies come with a health guarantee, shot record, puppy instructions, puppy papers (registration will be either AKC, APR, or ACA ),   and at least, one, and most of the time 2 "healthy puppy" vet checks.  They will be loving and well socialized with people, other dogs, and usually with my cats who seem to think they are also dogs.  Deposits are non refundable unless there is a problem with the health of the puppy.
A deposit might be able to be transferred to a future puppy if given plenty of notice.

My puppies are sold with the limited registration with a spay or neuter agreement unless special permission is given. I never give breeding rights with very small females who are 6 lbs or under, full grown. Corresponding with you concerning your family and how the puppy will fit into your home is very important to me.
Thanks, Terry

My puppies are sold with the limited registration with a spay or neuter contract unless special permission is given. I never give breeding rights with very small females who are 6 lbs or under, full grown. I don't require an application be filled out to obtain a puppy, but corresponding with you concerning your family and how the puppy will fit into your home is very important to me.

I use Nutri-Source small breed puppy food for my puppies.
I would highly suggest that you stay with this food for your puppies first 8 months.
You can go to http://www.nutrisourcedogfood.com/ to see where you can buy the puppy food in your location or you can order it online from their web site.

Shipping:

Shipping by Air is done with Pet Air. They are a company that specializes in just shipping pets.
The reason that I use Pet Air rather then making my own shipping arrangements is that I have found that a company like Pet Air as compared to an individual can better get the airlines to do the best for the puppy. Sorry to say, many airlines are not courteous or helpful to an individual, but they will help a company who has the option of pulling much more business from them should they decide that the airline is not helpful with the shipping of pets.  If there are plane cancellations, delays, or changes that need to be made, Pet Air has the resources to make these changes quicker and easier then an individual might have.

Shipping is $300 which includes the airfare, Pet Air's fare, the special crate needed, the cost of mailing the papers for the puppy, and other misc. cost associated with shipping the puppy.

The timing for when I let the puppy go by shipping will be based on the age, breed, and size of the puppy. Weather plays a big part in the air shipping of a puppy. There may be times in mid summer or mid winter when the shipping is changed or delayed due to bad or extreme weather.  Pet Air does what ever needs to be done to best assure the safety of the puppy.
I will try to accommodate you the best I can with the shipping, but the overall decision  when to ship the puppy will be my decision based on the health, safety, and best interest of the puppy.

Crate Training:
Crate training can be great for teaching your puppy to sleep in a crate at night or to use for very small periods of time during the day. But PLEASE do not put your puppy in a crate all day while you are at work, only to let him out for a few house in the afternoon and evening, then put him or her back in the crate for all night.  Even if you are able to take your dog out of the crate once or twice a day during the day, this is not the proper place for your  puppy or dog to spend the majority of their daytime hours. We would not like to be locked in a room with just enough room to move around in and sleep in for the majority of each 24 hour period. Our puppies and dogs don't like that much either. Knowing how much puppies and dogs like to play and need room to play, I feel that this can be very cruel to a puppy or dog. I will not knowingly sell a puppy to someone who plans on using a crate both day and night for their young puppy or older dog.

I suggest using a baby gate and gating off an area such as a large bathroom or a utility room in order to give the puppy limited space while allowing the puppy to have room to play, toys to play with an open crate with bedding for sleeping (the front gate off the crate) and puppy pads, a doggie litter box, or my preference, newspapers, in case the puppy HAS TO GO before someone lets him or her outside. Some puppies (just like children) take time to learn to "hold" it until "mom or dad" comes to take them out.  There are also very nice puppy playpens for dogs that also give more room for play while keeping them in a relatively small small area. The ex-pen pictured here can be purchased at: www.dog.com

Here are some earlier puppies with their new families.

Dear Terry:   Just thought you would like to know that Cur-Nal is getting neutered tomorrow.  Otherwise all is well.  Can't stand the thought of him hurting!  Of course, he is still the most fabulous dog in the world.  We are so very proud of him.  He does great with all pets and people.  You were right, of course, one pup at a time to train is more than enough work.   Not that it's difficult but the weather wasn't fun to deal with.  Haven't been able to talk my husband into getting another pup.   Cur-Nal sure misses his "cousins"  when they have to go home after staying  overnight when my daughter comes to visit. Cur'Nal is definitely "Mamas boy".  According to my husband, he literally

raise his head and howls if I leave the house without him.  He is, however, getting better as time goes by. The only time he is home alone is when we go to church. He loves his crate, which we use in the car and at home when we can't take him with. The crate is left out during the day with the door open.   He goes in or out as he wills.  Sometimes knaps in it during the day.
Hope business is going well for you.  God Bless You and your family
Mary

Terry,

We are sure enjoying our little "Mozart."  He is such a good dog.  Potty training has gone very well.  (Almost there!)  He is very good natured and even though he can get real excited, for the most part he is a very gentle "laid back" sort of pup.  One thing that is quite humorous is his "singing."  Each time we play the piano he has to put in his two cents.  He usually starts out with an "on pitch" howl that, if we don't pay attention, turns into a bark.  I don't know if this is common for all Maltese or if he is only living up to his musical name.  We let him try his hand at composing as you can see by the picture.

Good Morning Terry,
I finally received some pictures of Riley from Halloween.  She clearly was not amused with her Halloween costume, so those didn't turn out the best!  My mom reported that this weekend Riley taught herself how to open the
cabinet where we keep her cookies; she really is just like a baby learning new things everyday!
